The State of Washington and SEIU Healthcare 775NW reached agreement Friday, April 13, 2012, on restoring some funding for the Training Partnership for Fiscal Year 2012.

This agreement will help to offset the deep budget deficit faced by the TrainingPartnership due to lower-than-expected revenue. Additional revenue from this agreement will be applied to increased class offerings and access to student support through the Member Resource Center. Exact allocation of resources will be determined by a pending decision from the Training Partnership Board of Trustees.

Updated schedules will be posted following the decision from the Board of Trustees.

While this funding will help expand training classes for the remainder of FY 2012, the funding allocated in the state budget may not be sufficient without additional revenue to ensure adequate access to classes throughout the state and in key languages spoken by Home Care Aides.

Further updates will be provided as the FY13 budget is finalized.
